Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Edge Socials is a social media analytics platform for NGOs and other organizations, operated by Edge Institute, Romania. You can contact us at contact.

2. Data we collect

We collect account information (name, email) for platform users, and social media data (posts, metrics, audience statistics) from the accounts an organization connects via Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn. Each organization's data is visible only to that organization's team.

3. Google user data

We access YouTube channel and analytics data read-only via Google OAuth. This data is used solely to provide analytics dashboards to the connecting organization. It is never sold and never used for ads. Edge Socials' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Edge Socials uses YouTube API Services — by connecting a YouTube channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Stored YouTube data is refreshed daily and deleted when you disconnect the channel or delete your account. You can revoke access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

4. Sharing & disclosure

We do not share, transfer, or disclose your personal data or Google user data (including YouTube channel and analytics data) to third parties. It is never sold, never used for or transferred to advertising or data brokers, and never used to train machine-learning or AI models. The only exceptions are: (a) infrastructure service providers (cloud hosting and managed database providers) that process data on our behalf solely to operate Edge Socials, under confidentiality and data-processing obligations; (b) authorized members of your own organization's team, who can view the dashboards built from your connected accounts; and (c) disclosure where required by law.

5. Storage & security

Data is stored encrypted. Access is limited to the organization's own team members.

6. Retention & deletion

Data is kept while the account is connected, and deleted on disconnect or on request to our contact email.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correction, deletion, and complaint. We operate in the EU.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision; material changes will be announced inside the platform.
